Edward Fyten <br />As recommended by the Plannfng Commission and i�he Board of Appeals, <br />Councilman fiollenhorst moved, seconded by Councilman Crepeau, that a <br />variance be granted to the Susset� Company to construct a garage with- <br />out frost footings and I4 teet,6 inches from the property Iine on P4rs. <br />Edward Fyten's property at 1137 Edgewater Avenue; motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Case No. 69-t0, Theodore Hamm L3rewinq Company <br />• As recommended by the Planning Commission, Councitman Hollenhorst moved, <br />seconded by Councilman Crepeau, approval of the eventual issuance of <br />a building permit to Theodore Hamm Drewinr� Company for their proposed <br />can manufacturin� plant, subject to compliance with the Village of <br />Arden flills building code and zoning requirements; motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />ProDosed Villaqe Street Linhtinq <br />Bob Anderson, member o� the Arden Hills Jaycees, was present. <br />� <br />. <br />Cierk Administrator brlefed the council on the survey submitted to <br />her by the Jaycees, which i�ciuded fihe number of homes contacted by <br />Jaycee members in the area; and also comments from the survey and those <br />taken at the village hall. P4r. Mr. McKirinon connected his residence <br />to the municipal xater system wtthout a permii• and also did the actual <br />connecting himself Cthe ordinance specifies th(s is to be done by a <br />licensed plumber). P4atter referred to Cierk Admin(strator to so inform <br />Attorney Courtney to proceed with the prosecution. <br />Mayor Bjorndahl recommended that the viltage try to obtain a statement <br />from Mr. McKinnon stating that any problems vrii-h this line will be <br />P-0r. McKinnon's responslbility. if this situa'rion arises, the village <br />will discontinue water service to this residence until such time as 1'he <br />owner hires a lic�nsed plum6er to do the repair work. <br />REPORT OF PdAYOR BJORNDAHL - Parks and Recreafiion and Human Rights <br />Parks and Recreation <br />Mayor �jorndahl reported that a 7 toot mo�aer has been purchased for <br />$725; this mower is an attachment for the smali tractor. Upon motion <br />by 0lmen, seconded by Councilman Crepeau, two part-time seasonal men, <br />Stephen Zehm at $2.80 per hour and Martin Besi- at �2.65 per hour, <br />effective May I5, 1969, wiil be employed again #his summer. P4otion <br />carried unanimous(y. Playground equipment has been ordered at a cost <br />o# $977. <br />A portion of Charies Perry Fark has beon prepared tor nursery trees, <br />and, with the help of the Jaycees, l,000 seedlinq evergreen trees have <br />been olanted.
