The eoard of Appeals submitted
a two vote splft decision on the matter. Councilman floilenhorst felt
the granting of this request would not be in keeping with the ordinance
as the request is for convenience and not a hardship matter; he believes
there is sufficient property available north of the residence for con-
structton without a variance.
Councii suggested P4r. M11anuel consider constructtng a 6- 8 foot louvered
fence in lieu of the carport; this would also require a varlance, but
believes it would be more acceptable. if PAr. Manuel chooses to apply
for another variance, the councii agreed the 55.00 fee should be trans-
ferred from the original request.
Councilman Nollenhorst stated that some of the Planning Commission
• members have checked the property; others could check it.
Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist could fihen poll the members
by telephone.
Case No. 69-2 Variance Re uest - Richard C.
