COURTNEY <br />Ordinance No. 99 Amendment - Second and Finat Reading <br />Clerk Administrator Lorraine Stromquist received a letter, dated <br />February 4, 1969, trom Atty. Courtney regarding these changes; copies <br />. of this letter were sent by the attorney to tAe Mayor ar+d chatrman <br />of the planning commissfon. Atty. Cou�tney read the proposed ordioaoce. <br />.,/, <br />Councilman Hoftenhorst moved, seconded 6y Couocilman Crepeau. that <br />the rutes be waived and the Second and Final reading be given #o en <br />ordinance amending Ordinance No. 99, the zonTng ordinanc�, to expand <br />permitted encroachments; to establish time limitattons for variances <br />and �Peclal Use Permits; and to change front setback requirements for <br />sJgns; motion carried. <br />Clerk Administrator dfrected to cause the pubiication of this ordinaace. <br />- 'VFa�e Rate Resolutfon - Probationery Employees <br />Atty. Courtney informed the councti of his conference with the local 49 <br />- unio� representative concerning the wage rate paid by the vfilage to <br />`probationery employees in the ma{ntonance department. Cou�cilman Otmen <br />�''�moved the adoption of a Resolution, as attached. amendTng the Rescslu- <br />tion adopted December 9, 1968 'regarding the wage schedule tor 1969 <br />. for employees ln the �epartment of Public Works a�d Parks; ssconded <br />by Councilman Crepeau; motion carried. <br />� <br />i <br />Water improvements 68-2 and G8-3 Easements <br />Atty. Courtney reported on the status of the response from the thirteen <br />home owners on the east side of Lake Johan'na regarding wai�ers of <br />trespass contracts to alloH the water line to be constructed sionq <br />the lake rather than Snelling Avenue; six signed contracts had been <br />returned. Peter Lametti, 3331��Jo Snelling Ave, and John t. Marquard, <br />3427 No Sne{ling Ave, wrote tetters stating disac�reement to the p�an. <br />The�council had previously determined that unless each of the thirtean <br />property owners agreed to waivers of trespa5s, the alternate plan <br />would be used. <br />Councilman tlolle�horst moved, seconded 6y CounCilman Henderson, that <br />Banister Engineering Co. be directed to change the plans to shpw tha <br />water installation along Sne{ling Avenue; motion carried. <br />N.S.P. Contract - Booster Station <br />Engineer Lund stated this co�tract is not unusual; #he vlllage already <br />has similar ones involving.the lift stations. <br />Atty.
