Courtney informed the council that he had written to RaMsey <br />County�and also talked with Floyd Snyker of the Ramsay County <br />Engineer's Oftice regarding this problem. Roseviile and Ramsey <br />County have agreed to pay a percentage ot the cost of a feasibility <br />report. Councilma� Crepeau moved, as recommended by Atty. Courtney, <br />that Banister Engineering Co. be authortzed to prepare a feasibflity <br />report, subject to the engineer's eariier report and the cost Iimita- <br />ttons therein (estimated cost of 57500); seconded by Councilman <br />Hollenhorst; motion carried. <br />Mayor Bjorndahl inqutred as to the possibflity of extending the county <br />ditch which now terminates at Littte Johan�a. <br />Atty. Courtoey senfi a letter, dated February 6, 1969 to Clerk <br />Administrator Lorraine Stromquist, with copies to CouncTlma� Hollen- <br />horst and Larry McGough, Cha(rma� of the Planning Commisslon, <br />relative to thfs matter. <br />Countilman Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Councilman Crepeau, that <br />the dratt of the Resoiution regardtng the amended housing policy <br />be referred again to the planntng commisston; motion carried. <br />� <br />� <br />� <br />Sanitary Sewer Ordinance - First Reading <br />Councilman Crepeau introduced by title and moved the First Readin9 <br />be given fio an Ordinance amending Ordinances 53 and 89, relating. <br />to the munfc(pal sanitary sewer system, by changing the rates and <br />charges prescribed for sewage disposai; seconded by Councilma� Hollen- <br />horst; motion carried. Atty. Courtney reported that he had received <br />a new version of the Arden Ili11s - Rosevitle sewer contract; he sub- <br />mTtted carbon copies of this to the Clerk Administrator and Englneer <br />for study. <br />HUD Report - Chicago Meeting <br />Mayor 8jorndahl reported on the meeting regerding the requested <br />tederal water grant, which he, Treasurer Read and Engineer Hendrickson <br />attended i� Chicago with HUO represeni'atives on Wednesday, February <br />5, 1969. He stafied that supplemental information is required such <br />es the Arden Htlls - Rosevflle water contract, the Roseville - Sfi. <br />Paui water contract, letters ot consent to furnish A ei Hilis water <br />from St. Paul and Roseville, a statement from the n Health <br />Department approvtng the system; the flood possib(litles in Arden <br />hitils a�d a statement regarding the human rtghts aspect. <br />Mayor Bjorndahl reported that the HUO group was non-committal but <br />there might be a delay in the consideration of the applicatlon due, <br />in part, to the change in administration. It would be beneficia) <br />to Arden Htlls to submit the additional information as soon as <br />possible; Mayor Bjorndahl is hoping to send it to HUD within a week <br />or so. Mayor BJorndahl felt the necessity for water for the new <br />school being buflt and the 116rary, which is being built with 4ederal <br />assistance, should be an Tmportant item in the HUD study.. <br />Atty.
