Courtney reported that M,r. Grudnoske has aqread to pay the 1968 <br />taxes due in 1969. <br />Wage Rate for Probationary EmploYees <br />Atty. Cou�f�ey will check with the union aareement to �ay pro6atTonary <br />period employees I�ss than the union rate. If this procedure is <br />approved, the schedule w(II be inciuded tn en amendment to the �da�e <br />Rate Resolution. <br />Skatinn Rink Parking Lot - County Road E <br />Councilman dFmen moved the Cierk Administrator 6e aufihorized to si9n <br />the appiicafiion for 1969 fiax retiefi to be filed with the county auditor <br />for the property purchased by the vilta�e and located east ot tfie <br />County Road E Skatinc� rink; seconded by Counciiman Hotle�fiorst; motion <br />carried. <br />Water Improvement Easements <br />Atty. Courtney reported that o6taining water Iine easements accordinn <br />to HUD requiremerlts would fiake over 5ix montfis Tf condemnation Is <br />nece55ary on any of the easements. Waivers of tres�ass hane been <br />obtained for the 23 easements tn Water tmprovement 68-i; i-he number <br />of easements involved in Water lmprovemenfi 68-2 has nofi been submitted <br />by Banister Engineering Co. as of this date. Negatiafiions for ?3 <br />easements will be necessary for Water impro�ement 68-3. The�-e is <br />time facfior tnvoived in �later Improvements 68-2 and 3. Thirteen of <br />tfie property owners on the east side of Lake Johanna in lmprovement <br />68-3 have aiready been notified thai if eas�me�ts are not piven, <br />the pians wiit be changed to have the line installed on Sn�llinn Ave. <br />Atty. Courtn�y re�orted on a memo from Atty. Sailand which �equssted <br />councii consideration to empFoy P4r. Jos. Bettendorf to negotiate <br />easements to fihe earnest monsy status for the viltage at a char�e <br />of 51D0 per easement. After some discussion, the council requested <br />Atty. Courtney to send request for waivers of trespass to property <br />owaers in Impr. 68-3 and r�port #he response at the Feb. 10, 1969 <br />council meeting; the councit wflF then further eonsider the matter. <br />Transport Leasing - Sales Tax Gase <br />Council authorized Ai-ty. Courtney to accept the county attor�ey's <br />offer to answer charqes agaTnst the State of Mineesota a�d oth�r <br />municipalities inciuding Arden HTtls by Transport leasing regarding <br />the sales tax. <br />MasTca Matter <br />Atty. Courtney <br />regarding this <br />recommended that statement from th� police affFcers <br />case be obtai�ed for his information. <br />Case no. 68-21, C. G. Co. was received, whtch requesfied <br />Arden Hills to purchase power firom them for th� boost�r station and <br />also stated fihe rafes.
