Co.; matter referrad to <br />Atty. Courtney. <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER LUND <br />Feasibility Report - Mound and Prior Avenue5 Improvements <br />Engr. Lund submitted a report and drawings for the improvement of <br />Mound and Prior A�enues. The totai �ost for a 30 ft roadbay Nould <br />be 59,300, wTth an assessment of E7.57 per ft to the benefltted <br />property owners; total cost for a 24 ft roadway would be 57,965 <br />wTth an assessment of 56.16. <br />The improvement would constst of 2" bituminous surface wtth an 8" <br />gravel base. <br />Mayor BJorndahi requested the C1erk Administrator to inform the <br />property owners of the proJects and assessments. <br />Florai Drive Street Liqhtfnq <br />Engr. Lund recomme�ded the viilage consider xhere additionai Ilghts <br />are required; in this particular area, there are additlonaf rbads <br />which are not now shown on tfie map. He also recommended that, <br />when additionai costs are incurred which will be charges to village <br />resJde�ts, these amounts he added to the utility bills rather than <br />by speciai assessment. He informed the counctt that the county <br />would only participate in lighting costs if two heav(ly travelled <br />intersecting county roads are invo�ved. <br />Councilman Holtenhorst moved, seconded by Councilman Crepeau, the <br />approval of the Installatfon of four sSandard street lights on <br />Floral Orive, subject to the approvaf of �4r. Beecher; motion carried. <br />Mayor BfornAaht suqgested that Mr. Beecher coafer with Mr. pries, <br />N.S.P. Co., on the exact locatio�s of the Ifghts, so piacement <br />wili not interfere with maintenance work. <br />Change Order No. t- 0ooster 5tatton <br />Councilman Olmen moved approvai of C.O. No. 1,Project 3,Water lmrp. <br />Improvement 67-i for additionai electrfcat outlet and wiring to <br />valves and tub(ng fpr pressure valves at a cost of 5228.20; seconded <br />by Counciiman Crepeau; motion carried. <br />Red Fox Road <br />The subJect of assessing for the Tmprovement of Red Fox Road was <br />broughY up by Engr. Lund. The council stated that this improvement <br />was to be financed by 100A assessment to the abutting property owners, <br />with the exception of the Boss property, which should he ,qiven con- <br />sideration as it is the only residentiai property involved, a <br />delayed assessment should pro6abl.y be considersd. <br />Counctl requested Engr. Lund to check with Messrs: De Coster and <br />Rieliog re�ard(ng sewer Tnstatlation to serve their pro�erty. <br />Lake Josephlne Outlet Easement <br />Letter, dated JP,nuary 6, 1969, from Atty. Salland stated that an <br />easement has been obtained from Thomas and Mary Lynch, 3?10 Hamtine <br />Avenue. <br />Councflman Hollenhorst moved, seconded by Gouncilman Olmen, that <br />Atty. Courtney be authorized to file the easement with the Ramsey <br />County Register ot Deeds; motfon carrled. <br />Clerk Administrator requested to check with Atty. Courtney regarding <br />the �ake Joha�na outfet. <br />Fernwood Avenue Extension Request <br />The Board of Appeals and the Plannino Commission both recommended <br />denial of this request. Based on these recommendations and discussions <br />with officials at a meeting with the State Highway Department and <br />County Highway Department, Councilman Crepeau recommended no actlon <br />be taken pending the study by the state and county with Control <br />Dafia Corporation.
