MAYOR CREPEAU; Anyone else?
DOROTHY P4cCLtmiG, 9370 North Snelling: I'm here, not par-
ticularly in favor of the line, and not opposed. I think the
longer we wait the more it wili cost. I can sae some benefits
in providing service to the entire area. If we wait another
year it will cost that much moreo The plan as proposed, vith
the village general revenue fund picking up some of the cost,
and acreage and the frontage, while high, I think are fair,
and if we wait for each person to develop, it will get to be
morea In my opinioa, it's just finally going to add to the
cost, If we wait until our we3.1 is the one that runs dry and
then want additional service, it won't work out that way, so
while I'm not overwhelmed (inaudible) in favor, I'm not
opposed to the water. 2 have 17 acres right where r9r, Chris-
toffersen is pointing.
COUNCILPdAiV CRICHTON: I just wanted to comment On
Dorothy's aomment about use of general funds for part of it,
That°s what the engineex is showing that we might foll.ow, but
there°s nothing we can do tonight to determine what technique
will be used for the assessment,
DOROTFIY P4cCLUNGa As proposed, it°s not an unfair plan to
the prope rty involvede
P4AYOR CREPEAU: Anyone else?
COUNCILMAN WINGERT: Don, on the blue alternative, can
you state briefly what the advantage would be of putting in
that particular line? I'm assuming in my question that you
put that along Highway 96 - that you do not put the brown line
in,
MR, CHRISTOFFERSE7; That was the differenoe in the two,
alternatives, 2'he blue line - they°re both eiqht-inch lines
at this ti< If you recall from the last hearing this was 12
inch, and we reversed the two which is satisfactory. This
line will prooide service to the property owners abutting it,
and also fire protection, This line wi11 just be a connection
point and it follows the property line in generale T guess the
only reason I would be opposed to this line is I'm cutting
through raw property and I don't know how it's qoing to
develop and I'm reasonably sure there's a road to be extended
westerly and it°s going to wind throuqh this property and I
would assume when this is developed the water line would
• follow the road and be constructed at the expense of the
deveiopers, but if we use it now to complete a loop - to com-
plete a tie to the existing system here or here, I would sug-
gest it would have to go in along the propertyo I guess that's
(inaudible),
COUIdCILT+1Ai3 CRICHTON: I have several questions that I
wanted to ask, One concerns the boundary line you have out-
22
