COUNCILMAN CRICHTONa I guess 2 looked at it if it went
up there it would be a connection,
COUNCILI.N HANSONe Commenting on the proposed motion, i
• have two reservations. Having been on the Planning Commission
when Arden Ilanor was expanded, I can reca11 A3r. Adams asking us
at that time - I assume the Council concurred - we did not
foresee when we could supply water to that part of the city,
and as a result, Mr, Adams started his own water well system so
I feel somewhat of an obligation to not impose water on Arden
t3anor under those circumstances unless absolutely necessarye If
Stewart Lumber was requesting at this time, I would probab2y
lean toward supplying them an@ imposing on the peole in between,
but that's not the case, Secondly, i find myself, as an engi-
neer, almost embarrassed and compromised and very uncomfortable
about not doing a job that is obviously a complete and final
plan, but I do value the position oP all these residents and
even the developers that are not ready to pay the bill. I feel
that the compZete plan - that is, the basic plan - will foroe
some people to sell and force some people to develop re
rapidly than they are comfortable with, so I'm not in favor o£
the motion and will state at this time that in the alternative
I feel comfortable, qr semi-comfortable -(inaudible) is to
provide the industrial part of Round Lake with tinaudible) some-
thinq less than a complete loop system which in my own mind
probably would require some modification of the plan - maybe a
complete 12-inch line up to the end of the industrial property
there in order to make sure there was enough flow (inaudible)
from one direction to give them adequate pressure for normal
usage, It°s probably somewhat incomplete in that I do tkrink
the Dorothy McClunq property ouqht to be serviced at this time.
I'm not sure about George Reiling. I understand he has asked
at this time so we could work somethinq out in that area and
not involve a cotlete looping system and pzovide water over
there. I imagine Mr. Susnik would be forced to share some oE
that assessment because it would affect some o€ his property.
MAYOR CREPEAtJ: The firat four lots east of Snelling AVenue
abuttinq on Highway 96 asked for water.
NiR, GiiRISTOFFERSSNc Includinq this one, this one, and
this one, the way i understand.
COWiCILMAN HANSON; That's Reilinq plus three lots,
I1R> CHRISTOFFERSENa Reiling has this piece heree
. CO[INCILMAN HP,AISOL: And the next one is S4r, King and he's
vocally negativee
FROt•S THE AUDIENCE; If you go farther east, that°s mine.
1t9AY0R CREPEAUa 7'hen it's Y9r. Lawyer and those two are
opposed,
33
