Amendment was seconded by Councilman <br />Wingert. Amendment to the motion carried (Woodburn, Wingert, <br />Crepeau voting in favor of the motion, Crichton, Hanson voting <br />in opposition). <br />COUNCILI•9AId CRICHTON: I move we amend the motion by moving <br />the line from the north side of Highway 96 to the south side of <br />Iiiqhway 96 in the westerly part between Highway 35-[�1 and Highway <br />10, <br />COUNCILP9AN taINGERTa I second that. <br />MAYOR CREPEAU: Any diacussion? <br />� <br />MR, CHRISTOFFERSEN: P�tay I add something? I would be <br />happy to do that, but should there be something in the way <br />physically I woulcl have to come back to the Council and advise <br />you (inaudible) most it may cause some delay in my (inaudible) <br />in design, <br />COUNCILMAN CRICHTONo If it's just a little more difficult <br />(inaudible) I guess that's the intent of my motion. I know <br />there°s bad ground on the south side and also on the north side, <br />MAYOR CREPEAU: In your opinion, P�lr. Christoffersen - do <br />you have an opinion as to which side is better to construct? <br />MR, CHRISTOFFERSEN: I believe Round Lake at ane time <br />(inaudible) in the marsh land extended northerly into the <br />trailer park area and by looking at that type of ground or lake <br />elevations I would assume that the deeper muck or peat or <br />whatever I might run into would be on the south side and �re <br />shallow on the north side. I do know they ran into some when <br />they �aere building the trailer court. <br />COUNCILP�AN CRICHTQN; If this passed, including this <br />amendment, and it's three times as difficult and costlyo I <br />would want to change it. If it doesn't cost more to qo to the <br />south side than the north we will save about 10� on this <br />contract (inaudible). <br />MAYOR CREPEAUs Is it going to cost $44,000 to make t�ao <br />crossings7 <br />�IR, CHRISTOFFERS�PIa That's what my estimate shows. <br />34 <br />
