Absent: None. Also prescnt wcre Mayor Beverly Aplikowski, Councilmember David Grant, Community Dcvelopment Dircctor, Scott Clark, City Planner Pctcr Hell egers, and Recording Secretary Kathleen Altman. A. APPROV AI. OF MINUTES FROJ\'1 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON APRIL 6, 2005. . Commissioner Zimmcmlan moved, second cd by Commissioner Larson to approvc the April 6, 2005 minutes as amcndcd. The motion carried unanimously (6-0). PUBLIC HEARINGS A. PLANNING CASE #05-10 - RAMSEY COUNTY, RAMSEY COUNTY & PARTNERS PUBLIC \-VORKS FACILITY AND SHERIFF STATION, 1425 PAUL KIRKWOLD DRIVE: SIGN STANDARD ADJUSTMENT (CONTINUED FROM 4/6/(5) Mr. Hellcgcrs stated applicants were requesting a Sign Standard Adjustment from the Signagc Ordinance critcria tt)r a frcestanding monumcnt sign. Hc notcd at the April 6lh Planning Commission mceting, the Commission rcviewed the originally proposed sign plans which were included in the PC packet, a slightly revised sign plan which was included in the PC packet, and wcre shown another potential design at the meeting. Thc applicant had now submittcd plans for the design, which wcre shown to the Planning Commission at their April 6lh meeting. The plans show a sign that was significantly shorter and longer but maintains thc same sizc of the signage. The reduction to the hcight of the sign allowcd thc proposed sign to meet that requirement, leaving the . maximum size of the sign as thc only variance; a variance of approximately 130 squarc feet.
