Recreation and Community Buildin2 <br /> Strate2ies for the City of Arden Hills <br /> 1\ls, Olson stated at thc ./une 21, 2006 City Councilmccting, thc stratcgics for parks, trails, and <br /> community building for Arden Hills were approved. Sincc that time, the Parks, Trails, and <br /> Rccrcation Committee (PTRC) have added a couple of trail scgmcnts to the approved strategies, <br /> Both of these additions arc trail segments that havc currcnt funding assistancc possibilities, She <br /> rccommended Council approvc the reviscd stratcgics for parks, trails, and community building, <br /> Councilmember Holden asked what it meant to adopt a strategy. Ms. \Volfe responded the <br /> intcnt of approving thc strategy was to authorize the PTRC to continue to study thcsc strategies <br /> and have staff keep thcir attention focuscd on possible grant opportunities. She statcd in a sense <br /> it was a work plan for the PTRC. <br /> Council member Grant asked if by approving this \-vas the Council committing to anything or <br /> authorizing any money to be spent. Ms, Olson responded they were not authorizing anything or <br /> committing to any funds being spent. She noted by approving this they wcrc cssentially telling <br /> the PTRC that thesc things can be worked on, <br /> MOTION: Councilmcmber Grant moved and Councilnlcmbcr Larson seconded a <br /> motion to approve the rcviscd Strategies for Parks, Trails, and Community <br /> Building for thc City of Arden Hills, The motion carricd unanimously (5- <br /> 0). <br /> E. l\lotion to Approve A2reement for Law Enforcement Services with the Ramsev <br /> County She.-iff's Department for the Period Commencing ,Januarv 1, 2007 to <br /> December 31. 2009 <br /> Ms. Wolfe stakd the City contracts \vith the Ramscy County ShcrirCs Departmcnt for law <br /> enforcemcnt services. The existing three-year agreement which was approvcd December S, <br /> 2003, expires Decembcr 31, 2007. She recommendcd Council approve the Agreement for Law <br /> Enforcement Scrvices with thc Ramscy County Shcriffs Departmcnt for the period commencing <br /> ./ anuary \, 2007 to Deccmber 31, 2009. <br /> Councilmember Holden requested seeing the Sheriff Departmcnt logs to sec how much <br /> coverage thcy did in Arden Hills. Ms, \Volfe stated she would request the logs for a workshop <br /> mccting with the ShcrifTs Department in January, <br />
