<br /> I <br /> I classrooms, support facilities, and parking, the College prepared its Master Plan which lays <br /> I out the facility needs and plan for the College for the next 12 to 20 years. <br /> With these opportunities, we respectfully submit the accompanying application as well as <br /> I the plans and text of this Report for the purpose of amending Northwestern College's <br /> Planned Unit Development (PUD). <br /> I II. AMENDED PUD PLAN <br /> I The following sections address the specific requirements of the written PUD submittal for <br /> the City of Arden Hills' PUD Concept Plan Application and the City of Roseville's PUD <br /> I General Concept Plan Application. <br /> I A. NA TURE OF THE APPLICANT'S INTEREST <br /> Due to a number of programs and needed physical plant improvements, <br /> I Northwestern College has identified a future enrollment target of 2,400 full-time <br /> equivalent (FTE) students in traditional undergraduate programs. Currently, <br /> I enrollment is restricted due to the shortage of facilities available on campus. In order <br /> to have capacity for the growth desired and to accommodate existing needs, the <br /> I College is proposing improvements over the next 12 to 20 years, as identified in the <br /> College's Master Plan, completed in 2003. This Master Plan, developed by Partners <br /> I and Sirny Architects, integrates academic planning and facilities planning and is <br /> referenced in the Appendix of this Report. The Master Plan Map has been updated as <br /> I of Fall 2006 and is in the Appendix of this Report. <br /> B. SIZE OF THE DEVELOPMENT <br /> I Northwestern College currently has 1,650 full-time equivalent students. The College <br /> I is projecting FTE enrollment of 2,400 by 2018. Today, Northwestern College's <br /> campus consists of 107 acres and 14 buildings. The Master Plan proposes eight new <br /> I structures, consisting of a Community Life Center (student union), a science building, <br /> a residence hall, an athletic field house, a visitor/alumni center, dormitory, and two <br /> I parking structures. Additions include the music building, Berntsen Resource Center, <br /> KTIS Addition with renovations to the powerhouse. The existing road that bisects the <br /> campus will be re-routed east of Riley Hall, reducing safety issues for students and <br /> I enabling the College to create a Campus Green. <br /> Northwestern College Master Plan 2 13529.000 <br /> I PUD Application Report <br />
