Administrator, Schawn Johnson; Parks and Recreation Manager, Michelle Olson; Public <br /> Works Dircctor, Grcg Hoag; and Civil Engincer, Kris Giga <br /> Othcrs present were: Mayor Elcct Stan j-Iarpstead, Councilmember Elect David <br /> McClung, and Councilmcmher Elect Fran Holmes <br /> 1-694 Proiect Uodatc- <br /> Public Works Director Greg Hoag introduced Chris Roy and Mark Lindeberg from the <br /> Minnesota Department of Transportation to provided the City Council with an overview of the <br /> current status and concept plans (unapproved by MnDOT at this time) for the 1-694 project. <br /> Mr. Mark Lindeberg noted an important part of the 1-694 planning process is the environmental <br /> assessment. The Minnesota Department of Transportation recently contracted with the <br /> engmeenng fi rm SEH to complete the Environmental Assessment (EA) report. The <br /> Environmental Assessment is scheduled to be released for public review and comment in early <br /> 2007. At this time, City staff has received a dran copy of the Environmental Assessment report <br /> and is currently reviewing the information. The Environmental Assessment report process is an <br /> opportunity for the City Council to provide input to MnDOT in regards to the proposed 1-694 <br /> project. At this time, project funding through the State of Minnesota is pending. <br /> Councilmember Elect Fran Hohnes asked if the proposed 1-694 and 35E projects are considered <br />. joint projects by MnDOT. <br />
