Back1!round <br /> The applicant is requesting a Master Plan pun (8th) Amendment :md Site Plan Review to <br /> construct a 2,250 squarc foot addition to the north side or Building N, which is located in the <br /> northwestel11 portion of the Boston Scientific campus. The building was purchased prior to the <br /> Master Plan approval in 2002, and the Master Plan docs not reflect the proposed addition in this <br /> application. which is the reason for the PUO Amendmcnt. <br /> Thc City Council did approve a 10,225 square foot addition to thc western side of Building N on <br /> August 28, 2006 (PC 06-024). Howevcr. Boston Scientiiic has decided to 1101 pursue that <br /> addition in favor of thc smaller addition proposed in this application. <br /> The proposal in this application would be thc second addition to Building N. In 2003, Boston <br /> Scientiiic \vas approved to construct a 38,000 square foot addition to Building N. According to <br /> the applicant. this proposed addition would add three new cmployecs to Building N. <br /> There was a discussion regarding noise gcneration from Building N at the Planning Commission <br /> meeting. Two residcnts in attendancc and an email Jrom a rcsident stated a concern about <br /> existing noise and the potential for increased noisc from the addition. In response, the Planning <br /> Commission enhanced condition eight, which is included in the below conditions.
