All department heads are scheduled to be working during that time period. Schawn \vill be Acting City Administrator during the City ^dministrator's absence. For your review, City staff has attached training infolllwtion for newly elected and experienced elected officials through the League of Minnesota Cities. If you arc interested in attending this training, please contact Assistant City Administrator Schawn Johnson and he will be glad to assist you with the registration process. Accounting Analyst Michelle Bruley submitted her resignation to the ^ssistant City . Administrator on December 14th. Michelle has accepted a position with a private accounting timl. Her last day with the City is officially January 1 st. Work is proceeding toward the implementation of a new phone system. Unfortunately, City staff was infonlled by the Roseville IT Department this week that we will not be able to keep our existing phone numbers. The existing phone numbers at City Hall will be translated to the new (651) 792-XXXX numbers for staff. In the future, our new and old phone numbers will continue to ring to the same telephone. Eventually the City will need to release the old phone numbers to Qwest. The City of Roseville has been able to retain its old phone numbers for about three years. This spring the City of Roseville will be releasing its old staff phone numbers to Qwest, but keeping its old main numbers to City Hall for public use. City stafTwill be working with the Roseville IT Department on informing the residents about the new phone numbers through the local newspapers, City web site, newsletter. etc... The new IP phone equipment has been ordered and is expected to be delivered and installed shortly aner the first 0 f the year. City staff has nan-owed the candidate field lor the Finance Director position to two candidates. Schawn completed background checks and they were very good. The finalists arc scheduled to have managemcnt assessments completed on December 7th and 12th. City stafr is attempting to schedule the second round of interviews for the t\'/o finance director candidates for sometime in . mid- December.
