DlII.US <br /> Vincent Pellegrin For the week ending December 8, 2006 <br /> Work is proceeding toward the 2007 implementation ofa new phone system, It looks very likely <br /> that we will be able to keep our existing phone numbers. This will make the transition process <br /> much smoother! <br /> Reminder: I will be out ofthe office December 13-18, All the department heads are scheduled to <br /> be working during that time. Schawn will be Acting City Administrator in my absence, <br /> On December 5th, Schawn and Greg attended the Karth Lake Improvement District meeting at <br /> City Hall. A representative from the Karth Lake Board will be attending the December 18th <br /> work session to provide an overview of the group's goals and objectives. <br /> City staffrecently interviewed five candidates for the Finance Director position and has <br />. narrowed to two finalists. Schawn completed background checks ,md they were very good, The <br /> finalists are scheduled to have management assessments completed on Decembcr 7th and 12th, <br /> City staff is attempting to schedule the second round of intervicws for the two finance director <br /> candidates for sometime in mid-December. <br /> The City's employee recot,'llition luncheon has been scheduled for Thursday, Janllary 11 th at <br /> 11 :30 AM. A copy of the invitation has been included in the administrative report for your <br /> reVIew, <br /> City of Arden Hills is seeking volunteers for the City's various committees and commissions, If <br /> you know of someone that may be interested in serving on a committee or commission, please <br /> have them contact Schawn (651-634-5125) or visit the City's web site for application materials. <br /> The deadline for submitting application materials is December 22nd, but the City will accept <br /> applications until all open positions are filled. <br /> Last week a public works employee was injured on the job. In addition, another employee is on <br /> short-ternl disability leave. This leaves our eight person complement down to six during the <br /> snow plowing season. We are hiring a retiree as a temporary employee for limited work <br /> assignments and snow removal activities as needed until we have one of our full time employees <br /> back on duty. <br /> TeAAP: <br />. .
