Thc inspcction revealed that you have one tree(s) on your property that have Dutch Elm Discase. The tree(s) have been clearly marked with a red paint stripe. The City's intention for this prof,'Tam is to proactivcly reducc thc spread of the discase through the City of Ardcn Hills. Tree Removal Options for the Property Owner . Property owner rcmoves or contracts out the tree rcmoval at his/her own expensc. . Property owncr requests to have thc City's contractor remove the tree at his/hcr own expense. Please contact City Hall at 651-634-5120 for morc infornlation regarding this option. * Arden Hills residents may request that a laboratory tcst be completcd on one or morc trces that have becn marked for removal. The propcrty owncr must request in writing to the City that thc trce(s) be .tested no later than the date on which thc tree(s) or diseased wood is scheduled to be rcmoved from the premise. All laboratory tree tcsting will be completed by thc Minnesota Dcpartment of Agriculture or a qualified laboratory. If the testing con fimls the original diagnosis that the trce is infected with a shade tree disease, thc property owner \Vi II bc responsible for all expenscs incurrcd for the analysis completed by thc City. If the test discloses that the trec or wood was not diseased, thc City shall bear thc entire laboratory tcsting costs and thc tree(s) will be removed from the diseased trce listing. All marked diseased trces must be rcmoved by the propcl1y owncr within ten days after receiving a certified letter from the City that thc tree(s) must be removed. All propcrties will be re-inspected after the property owner has been noti tied by the City, I f the tree(s) is not removed within 30 days the noticc date, the City of Arden Hills will initiate thc removal and disposal of all standing, marked, diseased trces and the total costs will be billed or assessed to the property owner.
