The proposed project funding is as listed helow: PIR: S 446,300 General Fund (Streets): S200,000 Storm Sewer ruml: S23,OOO Sanitary Sewer Fund: S23,000 \Vater Fund: sn,ooo Total: $71 ).300 The estimate for the water fund was originally listed as $ J 35,000, but further review by Public Works staff indicated the improvemcnls in the proposed project areas are not as extensive as were anticipated. Necessary improvements to all utilitics will be confinned during preparation of the kasibility report. The City of Roseville is offering engineering services at an estimated cost 01'$99,800, which is included in the breakdown listed ahove. The cost for preparing the feasibility report (includcd in the total engineering services estimate) is estimated at $10,000. URS provided an estimate for . engineering services ft)r the project tt)r approximately $ I 35,000. The feasibility report will only address the streets scheduled tt)r mill and overlay. The seal coating porlion of the PMP is not assessed back to property owners, and \-vill be bid as a separate contract. Stafr will be able to prepare and manage this project in-house. The estimated cost f()r seal coating the streets proposed Itlr 2007 is $5 LOOO. This cost is not incOlvoratcd into the figures listed above, hut is included in the proposed 2007 budget. Contracting with the City of Roseville to complete these engineering services should provide additional cost savings during plan preparation and construction. The project, if completed by URS. would have additional project costs ft)r Roseville engineering staflto review and oversee the work. If Roseville engineeling staff prepares the feasibility report, plans and specifications, these review costs arc included as a part of the proposal. There is an opportunity ft)r savings during construction by hidding Ihe project jointly with Roseville: Roseville also has a mill and overlay project scheduled fll[ 2007. By hidding these projects together as one contract and advertising early, we anticipate compctilive hids. Larger contracts and early advertisements tend to create more interest trom contractors.
