Thc mini-mobile will move into Valcntine Park in mid- <br /> December. <br /> Staff is researching a situation regarding the removal of a backstop at Arden Oaks Park a few <br /> ycars back. Some residents have recently voiced their displeasure about the removal. S tafT <br /> needs to look into why the backstop was removed and find out the cost to replace in order to <br /> dctcrmine what should be done there. Look far further information in a later update. <br /> Michelle Olson and Jim Perron met Bill Schneider and Jody Yungers out at the Valentine Hills <br /> area last Friday to discuss the potential of a partnership for a Safe Routes to School Grant. They <br /> are determining a preferred route for the grant and will be bringing more information to the City <br /> Council in November. <br /> Just a rcminder that the PTRC is sponsoring a City Buckthom removal day tomorrow at Floral <br /> Park. We will have a continental breakfast at City Hall at 9:30 a.m. and head to Floral from 10- <br /> 2. Please wear gloves and dress with work clothes. <br /> Kris attended a Water Resources conference this week. There were infornlational seminars on <br /> Low-Impact Development and other bcst management practices that the City could considcr <br /> incorporating into its projects or even into development standards, especially with TCAAP on <br />. the horizon. <br /> 2006 PMP- restoration work is underway. Weather permitting. thc contractor hopcs to be able to <br /> finish up rcstoration and pave the second lift of asphalt at the end of next week. Residents have <br /> expressed concern that the number of trees being plaIltcd does not make up for the number <br /> removed. We have continued to receive comments about the Siems Court/Lake Johanna <br /> intersection. We have been informed that some of the residents will attend Monday night's <br /> Council meeting to present a petition requesting more attention to both ofthcsc concerns. <br />. <br />
