Staff is researching a situation regarding the removal of a backstop at Arden Oaks Park a few ycars back. Some residents have recently voiced their displeasure about the removal. S tafT needs to look into why the backstop was removed and find out the cost to replace in order to dctcrmine what should be done there. Look far further information in a later update. Michelle Olson and Jim Perron met Bill Schneider and Jody Yungers out at the Valentine Hills area last Friday to discuss the potential of a partnership for a Safe Routes to School Grant. They are determining a preferred route for the grant and will be bringing more information to the City Council in November. Just a rcminder that the PTRC is sponsoring a City Buckthom removal day tomorrow at Floral Park. We will have a continental breakfast at City Hall at 9:30 a.m. and head to Floral from 10- 2.
