that utilized additional aggregate base CL 5 was for specific locations which required a thicker section of base in order to
correctly match into existing driveways, Particularly in areas where the roadway was being lowered, extra CL 5 was
needed to smoothly transition into existing areas. These areas included portions of Siems Court, Ridgewood Road, and
Skiles Lane and equated to an additional 266 tons for a total of 1,386 tons of additional aggregate base CL 5,

The special walk item is used for the reconstruction of resident owned walking surfaces or stairs damaged during
construction, Due to either unforeseen field conditions or specific requests by residents, three additional properties
reqnired either walking surface or stair reconstruction, two on Siems Court on one on Skiles Lane,

The project specifications indicate that bituminous density is to be tested for all roadways, The density should meet the
standard specifications of MNIDOT requirements. If the density exceeds the MNIDOT requirements, a bonus is given to
the Contractor, conversely, if the density is below the MNIDOT requirements then deductions are imposed. The density
tests for the bituminous on this project showed that overall the densities were below the MNIDOT requirements which
means a deduction shall be imposed. This is shown as a lump sum item below,
Schedule B - Storm Drainage
There were Contract Items where additional quantities were needed to complete construction, these items include:
raingarden grading and sodding, type lawn. The raingarden grading item over-ran the contract quantity because of resident
requests regardiug size or shape and also because two raingardens were dug deeper than specified in the plans in order to
create the most efficient drainage situation possible. The sodding, type lawn item over-ran the contract quantity because
work along Lake Johanna Boulevard was more difficult than originally anticipated due to the fact that the actual location of
existing private utilities covered a broader area than what was identified by the utility companies, Consequently, storm
sewer construction and dirt spoil piles impacted a larger area which then required more restoration and sodding,

There was also a change in the size of the culvert pipe draining the wetland south of Lake Johanna Boulevard to Lake
Johanna. The original plan had a 29"x18" concrete arch pipe which was changed to a circular 30" pipe. The 30" concrete
pipe quantity was accounted for in Change Order No. 1 while the two pipe aprons and trash guards were not. The pricing
for the 30" aprons and trash guards is higher than the 29"x18" and so the approved prices are included below.

Items 5 - 9 below represent lump sum work items for proposed storm sewer performed by the Utility Contractor during
construction. These were regarded as necessary due to unforeseen existing conditions and approved by the City during
construction, The description of the lump sum items are included below:
