A meeting with staff will be held to review <br />and refine materials generated in Task 2. <br /> <br />Deliverables: Thefollowing deliverables will be part of Task 2 <br /> <br />o Technical Memorandum documenting recent plans and studies as well <br />as trends <br /> <br />Staff Responsibilities: <br /> <br />o Mapping and GIS analysis <br />o Census profile <br />o Collection and distribution of key background information and map <br />data to consultant team <br />o Summary of meeting notes from Staff meetings. <br /> <br />Task 3 <br /> <br />Explore and Confirm the Vision <br /> <br />The purpose of this task will be to establish a Vision and set of Guiding Principles <br />that will be used to help shape the Comprehensive Plan. This task will include <br />the first community workshop and the drafting of a Vision Statement. Subtasks <br />include: <br /> <br />3.2 Conduct Community Workshop #1-Vision Session. This <br />task will be the first of three community workshops, two of which will <br />involve HKGi. Each community workshop will be designed to engage the <br />community in exercises to help shape the future of Arden Hills. <br />Workshop #1 will be focused on confirming directions established in past <br />and recent planning initiatives and defining the "Vision" of the <br />community that will guide the development of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />HKGi will work with staff and the Planning Commission to design the <br />process for the Community Workshop. <br /> <br />Community Workshop #1 will begin with presentations that will set the <br />stage for the plan. Information to be presented will include but not be <br />limited to the changing demographic profile of the city and the directions <br />that have been established for the TCAAP site. Within the framework of <br />this background information, meeting participants will be involved in <br />small and large group discussions focused on soliciting information that <br />will help define (or refine) a future vision for the community. <br /> <br />3.3 Summarize Workshop #1 and Draft Vision. Working with City <br />Staff, HKGi will summarize the findings and results of Workshop 1 and <br />will prepare a draft vision statement that will be subject to further review <br />and refinement as the process evolves. <br /> <br />3.4 Planning Commission/City Council Meeting.
