The policy also states that the City Council shall retain the right to review each project on its own merit and to deviate from any portion of the Assessment Policy Manual as it deems proper. As discussed at the public hearing and as was prepared in the feasibility report, the proposed assessments wcre based on the contractor's bid prices. The proposed assessment rates are listed below. A total of$370,305.39 would be received in assessments, while $462,086.99 would be funded by the City. . 2" mill (Lametti Lane, Lametti Circle, Karth Lake Circlc): Full depth mill (Brighton Way, Briarknoll Circle, Briarknoll Drive, Dawn Circle East, Royal Lane): Commercial mill and overlay (Connelly Avenue): $2,061.52/unit . . $3,308.01/unit $10,804.97/unit Schedule: The following is a proposed schedule for 2007 assessments: May 14 Council conducts the assessment hearing with the option to continue final adoption until May 29,2007, if necessary May ] 4 (May 29) Council adopts assessment roll May 15 to June 13 (May 30 to June 28) Assessment pre-payment period at Arden Hills City Hall (30 days) October 3 I Certification of final assessment roll to Ramscy County RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION If questions or concems are received at the hearing, staff recommends that final adoption of the assessment rolls be continued to the May 29,2007 City Council meeting to allow staff lime to research questions and objections raised at the initial hearing. If Council receives no comments regarding the assessments, staff recommends approval of a resolution adopting and confi.ming assessments for the 2007 PMP improvements.
