Overview of Request: <br /> <br />Hood Packaging Corporation is located at 1887 Gateway Boulevard in the Gateway Business <br />(GB) Zone on Interstate 35W. Hood Packaging is a national company that manufactures <br />various types of paper and plastic packaging products. The company is a conforming use in <br />the GB Zone. The applicant is requesting a Planned Unit Development (PUD) amendment to <br />install two additional 2,000 gallon storage tanks to the southeast side of their building. Each <br />tank is fourteen feet long, five feet four inches tall, and five feet four inches in diameter. The <br />tanks have a double wall construction and sensors to reduce the possibility ofleaks <br /> <br />The applicant has submitted a letter explaining the basis for the request; however, in sum, the <br />two tanks would be used to store solvents and waste materials used in their manufacturing <br />process (Attachment 3B-I).
