James Lehnhoff
City Planner & recycling Coordinator
City of Arden Hills

In response to your request I have included an inventory of the trees that will be impacted by our plan to expand the
South Parking Lot at our facility located at 4300 West Round Lake Road, in Arden Hills. It is OUf intention to
remove the existing trees and replant all that are viable to further enhance the screening of the West end of the
parking lot along Round lake Road. New trees of 2" caliper size for deciduous, and 6 feet height for coniferous
species shall be provided in like quantities for what is to be removed for South Parking Lot expansion, additionally
at the conclusion of construction irrigation and sod will be installed to replace that which is disturbed by
construction.

Celestica has approximately 822 employees distributed across 3 shifts. Our estimated maximum parking
requirement is for 450 employees. This is distributed 200 employees in the office area and 250 in the production and
warehouse areas. With the expansion plans currently before us we would add approximately 42 spaces beyond the
present 408 spaces for a total of 450 spaces. It should be noted that some emp loyees do not drive, and some park in
handicap spaces. Though the number of spaces available to us in the adjoining lots continues to be reduced due to
increased occupancy of the buildings we continue to have some space available to us if any overflow is required.
The availability of this offsite parking is not guaranteed thus we will continue to monitor our need as well as the
needs ofthe surrounding buildings to determine the requirements for additional onsite parking expansion.

~~

Charles R. Patterson

Note from Staff:

This letter was submitted on 3-26-07. The proposed number of
parking spaces refer to the original proposal. JL
