<br />Ramsey County-Wide Emergency Operations Plan <br /> <br />Revision 5.1. June, 2005 <br /> <br />8. Maintain SOP's as needed to execute this plan, and provide <br />written verification that these SOP's are in place, valid, up-to- <br />date, and where and how the SOP's can be obtained in an <br />emergency <br /> <br />9. Participate in exercises as required <br /> <br />10. Provide a letter of acceptance of the Countywide Emergency <br />Operations Plan. <br /> <br />In the event a municipality activates this plan (as a result of an emergency <br />affecting that municipality or as a result of the declaration of a countywide <br />emergency), the municipal government will meet in accordance with local <br />ordnances and SOP's. In general, municipal governments are responsible <br />in an emergency to: <br /> <br />. Policy <br /> <br />o Be available to meet at short notice <br /> <br />o Authorize expenditures and monitor same in a timely fashion <br />o Maintain function of legally constituted municipal government <br />. Coordination <br /> <br />o Work during emergency with other affected municipalities' <br />elected officials and Ramsey County officials to identify <br />needs and priorities that will be addressed after the <br />immediate response has stabilized the situation <br /> <br />o Verify ability of local and assets to meet these needs and <br />pass requests for assistance to Ramsey County <br /> <br />. Communication <br /> <br />o Communicate these needs to the municipal EOC so that <br />emergency planning staff can quickly work to address them <br /> <br />o Communicate with other municipalities and partners and <br />Ramsey County <br /> <br />o Communicate with county, state and federal officials <br /> <br />o In coordination with the municipal PIO, the county PIO, and <br />the other response partners, provide a voice for accurate <br />and timely information to the residents of the municipality. <br /> <br />57 <br />
