<br />Congressional Letters and Meetings <br /> <br />. City staff continues to send out letters on a monthly basis and the last one was sent out on July <br />31,2007 (typically the last week of month). <br /> <br />Interim Space For Army <br /> <br />. The Army has indicated that they have tentatively located space to relocate to. <br /> <br /> <br />National Guard <br /> <br />. The National Guard met with the City Council on July 30, 2007 to go over their plans for <br />development of the southwester portion of their site. The plans span over a ten (10) year period <br />and include the development of a maintenance facility, headquarters office, joint armory and <br />community center and dormitories for use by personnel on a limited basis. <br /> <br />Business Snbsidy Policy <br /> <br />. The EDC will be reviewing the first draft ofthe Business Subsidy Policy on August 15,2007. It <br />is anticipated that they will have a draft completed in late August for review and discussion with <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />Market Study <br /> <br />. At the August 1,2007 Council work session staff discussed with Council the possibility of having <br />a market study completed for the residential portion of the plan at TCAAP to assist in <br />understanding the area demographics and market for various types and tenure of housing. <br />Council directed staff to seek proposals for a market study for both the housing and commercial <br />aspects. The proposals will itemize the cost to complete a housing and commercial study <br />separately and the Council will determine if they want to have a market study done for both <br />components or just the housing portion. <br /> <br />Bonding Bill <br /> <br />. In late June, the City submitted a 2008 State Bonding application for improvements to Hwy <br />10/County Road 96 and County Road HII 35W interchange.
