The area in question is located at the North east comer of the building.
It is a smaller separate section of roof that was part of an addition installed in 1987.

Report
Staff did a visual inspection of the roof and interior space directly below the roof that is leaking.
It appears that the roof is leaking at the outer perimeter walls, through the flashing. The water
leaking into the building has done significant damage to the sheetrock, with some mold apparent.
The carpet appears to have some water damage as there was a slight musty smell. Staff was
informed that the carpet had been wet several times in the past.

Recommendation
With the significant water damage observed inside the room, staff recommends replacement of
the roof as soon as possible. The damaged sheetrock and carpet should also be replaced once the
roof has been repaired.

C:\Documents and Settings\michelle.wolfe\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLKAE\Lake Johanna Fire station roofrepair.DOC
