OvERviEW OE NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE II
tion of faith, learning and living within its educational programs and
throughout the student's academic experience. The Board of Trustees,
administration, faculty and students embrace an educational philos-
ophy in which the arts and sciences and the disciplines are studied
within the context of a biblically -based Christian worldview.
Northwestern Radio Network
Northwestern College owns and operates a noncommercial network
of Christian radio stations as an integral part of its total educational
ministry. Northwestern College and Northwestern Radio Network are
both governed by the same Board of Trustees and share facilities on
the same campus. Both organizations operate with separate staffs and
separate financial budgets and accounts.
Northwestern Radio presents an image of Northwestern to the com-
munities it serves. It reaches beyond the community to provide inspi-
ration, instruction, spiritual growth, and service opportunities. Clearly,
many people identify and familiarize themselves with Northwestern
College via the Radio network. Moreover, it is notable that approxi-
mately 90 percent of Northwestern students live in one of the College's
listening areas.
The first radio station within the network was KTIS, established in 1949
under the direction of Billy Graham. The network has increased to 14
AM and FM stations, and is part of a 250 -affiliate satellite network.
College's Organization
Educational Departments and Programs
Art & Graphic Design
Bible
Business Administration
Art
Graphic Design
Biblical Studies
Associate in Arts & Bible
Certificate in Bible
Accounting
Finance
General Business
International Business
Management Information Systems
Marketing
Communication Broadcast & Electronic Media (B.S.)
Broadcast & Electronic Media (Certif.)
Communication
NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE CAMPUS MASTER PLAN PARTNERS & SIRNY ARCHITECTS PAGE 2.4
