APPENDIX C <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Note: Meeting minutes reflect the two different time periods under <br />which the planning efforts were performed. <br />The initial planning effort was based on 1600 FTE under an interim <br />president. The second portion of the planning effort was based on <br />2400 FTE under newly appointed President Dr. Cureton. <br />14 June 2001 <br />MEMO TO: Master Campus Plan Committee <br />FROM: Kay Stroyny, Committee Secretary <br />DATE: June 18, 2001 <br />SUBJECT: Minutes from June 14, 2001 meeting <br />Present: Dr. Hal Miller, Dr. Barb Lindman, Dr. Gerry <br />Bouma, Dr. Jerry Beilby, Jane Goedeke, Matt Hill, <br />Mark Baden, Phil Lacher, Dr. Doug Huffman, Dr. <br />Tim Tomlinson and Kay Stroyny <br />Absent: Monica Groves, Steve Morrow and Dale Solberg <br />1. Introduction: <br />Hal Miller gave an overview of what the committee will need <br />to accomplished in the next couple of months. The committee <br />will be using the information from the space utilization study <br />from Partners and Sirny and the estimate of space needs <br />for academic programs and academic support services. The <br />committee must present a list of prioritized needs to Joe <br />Smith by August 1, 2001. <br />2. Reviewed Estimate of Space needs for Academic Programs <br />and Academic Support Services: <br />Barb Lindman reviewed the presuppositions of the study: <br />Enrollment cap of 1600 student FTE: Discussed why 1600 <br />FTE was chosen verse other numbers. The enrollment <br />number will affect classrooms, office space, etc. Phil <br />reported that in 1996, the city of Roseville Phase II <br />Plan Unit Development (PUD) approval was extended to <br />August 2001. The PUD plan has approved footings for <br />a dorm. <br />Courses taught during 8 period academic week - The board <br />has been debating the <br />8 a.m. - 3 p.m. school day. The board wanted the day to <br />run from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., but the problem is about 788 <br />NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE CAMPUS MASTER PLAN PARTNERS & SIRNY ARCHITECTS APP C.1 <br />
