Mike Comodeca, the City's Environmental Attomey, and RRLD's Environmental Attorney met <br />with the GSA's legal counsel on September 26-27 to discuss the FOST, FOSET, MOA and <br />insurance. He will be meeting in an Executive Session with the City Council on October 29, <br />2007, to discuss environmental remediation credit issues. <br /> <br />. Mr. Comodeca will be meeting with staff and RRLD on October 30, 2007 regarding a timeline <br />for the transaction and issues for the meeting with the GSA and Army in Washington D.C. in <br />November. In addition, he will be meeting with RRLD's Environmental Attorney to review <br />drafts of the PP A, RAA, MOA and any other necessary documents for that meeting. <br /> <br />Environmental Characterization & Demolition <br /> <br />. Staff sent out RFP's to the engineering pool to assist the City in the review of the environmental <br />plans and test results for TCAAP. The City received three proposals and staff will be bringing a <br />recommendation forward to contract with Barr Engineering for City Council review <br />(consideration at the October 29, 2007 meeting. <br /> <br />. The sampling has been completed for the site and the data has been input into the required <br />database. RRLD's environmental consultants will be utilizing the database to create the <br />necessary maps for defining areas for type of remediation. RRLD is reviewing if they will need <br />to complete additional vapor sampling in the spring for a couple of areas. <br /> <br />. RRLD met with the MPCA on October 24, 2007 to go over the sampling results to determine <br />who will be required to sign off on the various aspects of remediation. <br /> <br />. Mike Comodeca and the City will be meeting with RRLD on October 30, 2007, to receive a <br />briefing on the sampling status. In addition, he will be meeting with staff, Ehlers and John Dean <br />of Kennedy and Graven to go over the environmental issues. <br /> <br />. RRLD has received updated survey drawings of all the existing rail lines and utilities on site. <br />They will be meeting with their demolition contractors on site in the next couple of weeks to <br />review the drawings and site so they can provide updated estimates for removal. <br /> <br />Project Status Memo <br /> <br />1 <br />
