~ ~HILLS MEMORANDUM DATE: November 13, 2007 Work Session TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: James Lehnhoff, City Plann~ SUBJECT: Planning Case #07-018 - Memo 2 Arden Plaza, LLC (Dennis Trooien) 3527 Lexington Avenne North Master Planned Unit Development, Final PUD for Phase 1, Preliminary Plat, and Final Plat Requested Action No action can be taken at a work session, Project Update The Planning Commission reviewed the proposed redevelopment at their November 7, 2007, meeting. At the meeting, the Commission voted 6-1 to recommend denial of the redevelopment proposal to the City Council. The meeting did include a full public hearing, and there were citizens in attendance that voiced their opinions. The meeting can be viewed on the internet by going to the City's website at www.ci.arden-hills.mn.us and selecting "webcasts & CTV16" on the right side menu bar, Then click "Planning Commission" to go to the CTV web site to view the Planning Commission meeting, Although a request was made to provide DVDs ofthe meeting, the DVDs could not be completed in time for the release of this packet. The City Council work session is not meant to be a forum to discuss the Planning Commission's recommendation; instead, the goal of the work session is to discuss the PUD process and to offer comments, questions, and suggestions about the proposal. Plan Set and Traffic/parkin!!: Study The plan set and the traffic/parking study were sent to the City Council prior to the release of this packet in order to give the City Council additional time to review the proposed redevelopment. Therefore, the full plan set and traffic/parking study are not attached to this report.
