James Lehnhoff

From: Dinndorf, Kathy [Kathy.Dinndorf@McKesson.com]
Sent: Tuesday, October 02, 20074:30 PM
To: James Lehnhoff
Subject: Arden Plaza Redevelopment

Hello James,

I understand based on Mayor Harpstead's column in the last Arden Hills Notes that the city has the philosophy of letting
the competitive marketplace drive development decisions. However, I still feel the need to voice my opposition to
potentially having a Walgreens constructed in Arden Plaza. That would make 4 pharmacies within about y,. mile of each
other: Arden Plaza Pharmacy, Target, Cub, and now Walgreens. There is no need for that, and the casualty will most
certainly be the smallest one, Arden Plaza Pharmacy. It seems to be almost a blatant attempt to put them out of
business. I for one have always preferred the small family owned pharmacy over the larger chain varieties, and have
appreciate that we have such a pharmacy (as well as the other family-owned businesses) in Arden Hills.

My hope is that the city might reconsider its stance in this matter if possible.

Thanks for listening @,
Kathy Dinndoif
Technical Implementation Engineer
McKesson Provider Technologies
Office: 651.697.5963
Fax: 651.697.5905
Cell: 651.253.0386
E-mail: kathy.dinndorf@mckesson.com

11/1/2007
