<br />Rsr"'" j <br /> <br />r. <br /> <br />0' ",.:~:j EJE3 <br /> <br /><-..' <br /> <br />8/28/07 <br /> <br />Dear Mayor and Arden Hills Council; <br /> <br />I have recently become aware of planned retail and office construction at the current <br />Arden Plaza area at Cnty Rd E and Lexington and also at the Holiday Inn on Cnty Rd E. <br /> <br />Although I am not a resident of Arden Hills, I shop this area daily. I can imagine that the <br />increased traffic resulting from these planned changes will overwhelm the current road <br />system. This will happen despite the fact that there is like[y insufficient parking available <br />in the plans being developed. <br /> <br />These are some logistic issues. On another note, I am strongly opposed to the concept of <br />bringing a Walgreens to Arden Plaza. From a Pharmaceutical aspect and general retail <br />aspect we have Target, Cub and Arden Plaza Pharmacy in close proximity and a <br />Walgreens just down the street in Roseville. <br /> <br />What really is the point? We don't want this small space to become the Big Box <br />Playground for Arden Hills, at the disastrous expense of long time home-grown retail <br />business. <br /> <br />Please think this through carefully.
