Assisted in the acquisition of <br />right-of-way easements <br /> <br />2005 MUSA Area Improvements <br /> <br />Kimley-Hom provided services to the City of Chanhassen for the <br />development of their 2005 MUSA expansion area. This included AUAR, <br />feasibility study, final design, and construction phase services for the <br />extension of public infrastructure (roadways, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, <br />and water main) to serve a 640-acre development area. The public <br />improvements were closely coordinated with adjacent developers and with <br />the Minnesota Department ofTransportation (Mn/DOT) since the 2005 <br />MUSA area borders Mn/DOT's TH 312/212 design build project area. <br /> <br />The 2005 MUSA infrastructure improvements included the following: <br /> <br />. More than 9,000 linear feet of trunk (15-inch to 21-inch) sanitary sewer <br />. More than 9,000 linear feet of trunk (12-inch to 18-inch) water main <br />. Storm drainage improvements including storm sewer, storm water treatment/deten- <br />tion ponds, and wetland mitigation areas <br />. More than 5,000 linear feet of collector roadway including two roundabouts and a <br />traffic signal <br /> <br />The feasibility study services included the determination of estimated <br />project costs and the establishment of a proposed financing pian for <br />the improvements. Our services also Included a significant public <br />involvement process to present the proposed improvements to the area <br />landowners/developers and to develop consensus. We also were involved <br />in the acquisition of the necessary right-of-way and easements for the <br />improvements.
