City of Arden Hills Chapter 12 Sign Code <br />Chapter 12 Sign Code <br />Section 1200 — Purpose and Intent <br />1200.01 Recitals. This Chapter shall be known, cited and referred to as the Arden Hills <br />Sign Code, except as referred to herein, where itshall be known as "this chapter". <br />1200.02 Purpose and indin s. The purpose and tindinas of this sign ordinance are as <br />follows: <br />Subd. 1 This sign ordinance is intended to establish a comprehensive and balanced <br />system of sien control that accommodates the need for a well-maintained, safe and <br />attractive community, and the need for effective communications including business <br />identification. It is the intent of this section to promote the health safety, general <br />welfare, aesthetics, and image of the community by regulating signs that are <br />intended to communicate to the public, and to use signs which meet the city's goals. <br />It is not the purpose or intent of this Chapter to regulate the message displayed on <br />any sign. This sign ordinance advances the City's goals by authorizing: <br />A.
