<br />The Commissioners concurred that at this point they would be in favor of using <br />the variance option. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa stated he would like to find out more about Mr. <br />Mertensotto's exception due to the shape of his lot. <br /> <br />Commissioner Larson stated that there should be discretion for staff to make a <br />determination for odd shape lots and applicants should have the ability to appeal <br />the determination to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa inquired about the violations. Mr. Lehnhoff stated that if a <br />property were in violation it would be turned over as a potential violation to the <br />judicial court. He stated he believes it would be misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa stated that his understanding is that cll1zens are the <br />violation officers. Mr. Lehnhoff stated they do have a Code Enforcement Officer. <br /> <br />Commissioner Stodola stated she thinks the language about RVs being parked <br />closer to the owner's principal structure than the neighbor's should remain in the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Chair Sand inquired if boats and docks were in the shoreline ordinance or the <br />residential property code. Mr. Lehnhoff stated that the language in the shoreline <br />ordinance is vague and it isn't covered in there. <br /> <br />Chair Sand stated that it could be added to the list of zoning codes to be reviewed. <br />He requested that the code enforcement officer look into Mr. Gericke's situation. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman moved, seconded by Commissioner Larson, to table <br />Planning Case #07-025, Zoning Code Text Amendment for RV Storage; City of <br />Arden Hills; 1245 West Highway 96, as proposed in staffs October 3, 2007 <br />Planning Case report. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously (7-0). <br /> <br />Chair Sand stated this Planning Case will be tabled until staff brings it back with <br />answers to the questions asked by the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />May 2, 2007 Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />RV STORAGE LOCATION INTERPRETATION <br /> <br />Mr. Lehnhoff stated Mr. Lunzer of 1795 Chatham Avenue has requested an <br />interpretation of the minimum setbacks for RVs and utility trailers in Section <br />1325.10 of the Zoning Code.
