<br />December 5, 2007 DRAFT Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />PLANNING CASE # 07-025 - ZONING CODE TEXT AMEDMENT FOR RV <br />STORAGE; CITY OF ARDEN HILLS; 1245 WEST HIGHWAY 96- PUBLIC <br />HEARING <br /> <br />Chair Sand stated there have been two work sessions on the existing RV <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Ms. Beekman reported that the RV ordinance has been amended and redrafted. <br />She stated it has been noticed for a public hearing. <br /> <br />Chair Sand opened the floor to Commission questions. <br /> <br />Commissioner Larson stated there isn't a good copy of the ordinance because of <br />the work session prior to this Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Lehnhoff stated there could be a review of the changes discussed at the work <br />sessIOn. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thompson inquired ifthere would be a public hearing before the <br />Council. Mr. Lehnhoff stated there wouldn't be a public hearing, but the Council <br />could choose to open it up to the public. <br /> <br />Chair Sand stated the proposed changes have been before the public with the <br />exception of a few changes discussed at the work session. <br /> <br />Ms. Beekman stated the changes to the proposed RV ordinance include the <br />following changes: <br />Subdivision 2, letter C, number 2 should state: "The rear yard is fully <br />enclosed by a six foot privacy fence or the R V is substantially screened from <br />adj acent properties as determined by Staff." <br />Subdivision 2, letter C, number 3 should be removed. <br />Subdivision 2, letter H should state: "Alternative locations for storing an <br />RV or watercraft on a property may be permitted by the Zoning Administrator <br />with an administrative land use permit. . ." <br />Subdivision 2, letter H, number 3 should state: "The RV or watercraft <br />shall not be stored forward ofthe principal structure, except as otherwise provided <br />for in subdivision 3." <br />Page 4, an adjustment to the drawing of the graphic of storage location. <br /> <br />Chair Sand opened the public hearing at 7:44 p.m. <br /> <br />Chair Sand invited anyone for or against the application to come forward and <br />make comment. <br />
