<br />Steve Gericke, ] 840 W. County Road E., stated he is concerned about allowing 3 <br />RVs in adcIition to the allowing 4 cars. He stated he would like a maximum of 4 <br />cars and/or RVs. <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Beekman stated the proposed ordinance decreases the amount of additional <br />vehicles allowed. She stated the ordinance clarifies the definitions of R V s and the <br />location of parking the vehicles. She stated it has been policy to have different <br />ordinances for vehicles and RV s. <br /> <br />Chair Sand inquired about a situation where four vehicles are parked in the <br />driveway and one RV from a visitor. Ms. Beekman stated it would be allowed <br />under present code. <br /> <br />Commissioner Stodola inquired about a requirement to have R V s and vehicles <br />operable. Ms. Beekman stated there is a requirement for them to be operable. <br /> <br />Mr. Gericke stated from his residence the neighbor's vehicles are visible at all <br />times. <br /> <br />Commissioner Modesette inquired if his circumstance is unique in that all <br />vehicles are stored on one side. Mr. Gericke stated the way his yard is located is <br />that his back yard is the neighbor's side yard. He stated at one time the ordinance <br />only allowed for one RV. <br /> <br />Mr. Lehnhoff stated the code was adopted in ]991 and it is possible that there was <br />a limit to one RV prior to that. He stated he was not aware of any changes to the <br />code regarding RVs since it was adopted. <br /> <br />Chair Sand stated they are trying to be more precise about where the RVs can be <br />stored. <br /> <br />Chuck Mertensetto, 3473 Lake Johanna Blvd., stated he has an easement to get to <br />his house that could be considered a city street. He stated he previously inquired <br />about the screening for RVs. <br /> <br />Ms. Beekman read the portion of the proposed ordinance that addresses how the <br />RVs should be screened from the public right of way. She stated the public right <br />of way is owned by the city or county. <br /> <br />Mr. Lehnhoff stated easements are different from public right of ways. <br /> <br />Commissioner Larson stated with the changes made in the work session the <br />zoning administrator has some discretion about how to screen the R V s. <br />
