COMMENTS:

. It was a great meeting and a good idea to discuss ideas instead of just considering a
developer's plan.

. Consider using some ofthe property for affordable housinglHabitat for Humanity.

· Could the towhhome development to the south be extended (in some form) to this property?

. Use some of the property to build Habitat for Humanity homes sinee Hwy 10/96 might
displace manufactured homes (trailer park).

· We need to think about Community Gathering Center - where the maintenance shed is now
and leave some green - not use all the land - leave it for wildlife.

. Thank you for letting us participate and bring forth ideas. Keep this type of event going.

· Slice off west 250 foot-long square for a permanent eity-owned park that would serve as
buffer area along bike trail and residential areas, sell/develop only remainder to east.

· Need permeable pavement only - should become a city-wide requirement from now on.

. Hamline Avenue aecess is a bad idea - will inevitably become a traffic shortcut around
backed-up Hamline Avenue/Highway 96 interseetion.

· Whatever happens, insist that construction be green and any pavement be permeable - NO
ASPHALT.

· No buildings that look into yards of folks on Keithson.

· Develop only west side for community center. Leave 4-5 acres to the east undeveloped for
now. Community Center could be used for meetings (townhome association, civic, Kiwanis,
scouts, senior day care, short-term (1-3 hours) senior and child daycare, teenage after school
meeting site). Design an inexpensive "green" community eenter building that could be sold
for other uses if community center did not work.

3
