City of Arden Hills - Comprehensive Plan - DRAFT <br />design. This interchange would eliminate the current at -grade <br />intersection, which would improve safety and mobility for the TH 10 and <br />CSAH 96 corridors. <br />County Road E Corridor (Downtown Arden Hills): <br />A small area plan study was underway at the time this Comprehensive <br />Plan was written that included an analysis of the safety and mobility of <br />vehicle and non -motorized traffic on CR E from TH 51 to Lexington <br />Avenue and the intersection of CR E/Lexington Avenue. The results of <br />this study may be incorporated into the Comprehensive Plan as a future <br />amendment. <br />11.2.5 Multimodal Transportation Opportunities <br />It is recognized that various methods of travel impact the economic vitality of a city, <br />county, or broader region. In addition to the traditional road system, multimodal <br />transportation includes transit, aviation, railway, and paths, including sidewalks, <br />trails, and bikeways. <br />11.2.5.1 Transit Service <br />The City of Arden Hills is currently located within the Market III Transit System <br />Service Area. This area includes communities with a land use pattern of <br />generally lower concentrations with intermittent pockets of moderate <br />concentrations, which receive highest service levels. The current service <br />options are peak -only express busses, small vehicle dial -a -ride, midday <br />circulators, special needs paratransit (ADA, seniors), and ridesharing. <br />Service characteristics include peak -period -only express busses, 1-2 hour <br />midday frequencies, dial -a -ride advance registration, service spans of 10-14 <br />hours per day on weekdays and limited weekends, and access primarily tied <br />to park -and ride lots and hubs. <br />Figure 4.5 — Existing and Planned Transit Routes and Passenger Facilities Formatted: Not Highlight <br />displays the current services available, including route and park and ride <br />locations in and around the City of Arden Hills. An existing park and ride lot is <br />located between 1-35W and CSAH 10, on CR H in Arden Hills. Regular route <br />service in the City as currently provided is described below: <br />• Route 225, 227 is a local bus route operated by Metro Transit. This <br />route provides connectivity to Rosedale Commons in the City of <br />Roseville, and serves Shoreview, Arden Hills, and Roseville.
