City of Arden Hills - Comprehensive Pian - DRAFT <br />the five-year time period from January 1, 2002, through December 31, 2006, <br />there were 2,305 crashes on the roadways within or adjacent to the City of Arden <br />Hills. The locations with high crash rates are primarily on the county and state <br />highway intersections. Locations with the highest crash frequency are on 1-694 <br />with TH 51, and 1-694 with 1-35W. Additionally, there are high crash rates along <br />1-35W and 1-694 at every interchange location. <br />Other locations off the freeway with high crash frequency are the intersections of <br />TH 10 with CSAH 96, CSAH 96 with Hamline Avenue (CSAH 50), CSAH 96 with <br />Lexington Avenue (CSAH 51), Lexington Avenue (CSAH 51) with Grey Fox <br />Road, and Hamline Avenue (CSAH 50) with CR F (CSAH 12). Of the 2,305 <br />crashes, 170 included injuries, 405 had possible injuries, and 1730 involved <br />property damage only. Rear end crashes represented 48% of the crashes, and <br />8% were right angle crashes. <br />11.2.3 Jurisdictional Issues <br />There are no planned junsdictional transfers planned between Arden Hills and <br />oeletea: known <br />Ramsey County. The City desires active participation in any jurisdictional <br />discussion, <br />Deleted: , but the City recognaes <br />_ <br />that the County's and State's role in '.. <br />11.2.4 Relevant Area Transportation Studies <br />jurisdictional issues and desires <br />active participation in any <br />jurisdictional discussion. <br />A number of studies have been completed or are in the process of being <br />completed to provide direction relative to the development of the City of Arden <br />Hills' transportation system. <br />Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) Alternative Urban <br />Areawide Review: <br />The City is currently developing an Alternative Urban Areawide Review <br />(AUAR) for the proposed TCAAP redevelopment. The AUAR <br />encompasses the 585 acres of the TCAAP property that is proposed to be <br />redeveloped as a mix of residential and commercial property. Preliminary <br />traffic issues include analyzing CSAH 96 and TH 10, as the development <br />would directly impact those roadways.
