<br />Commissioner Holewa suggested an annual or semi-annual meeting with the <br />school. <br /> <br />Chair Larson stated that the use of a shipping container for storage would not be <br />permitted. Ms. Beekman stated that it wouldn't be permitted. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman inquired if a storage shed or a scoreboard would <br />require the school to come back. Ms. Beekman stated the shed would not, but she <br />wasn't sure if the scoreboard would. <br /> <br />Bob Madison, activities director at Mounds View High School, stated he <br />appreciates the dialogue with the neighbors. He stated they would like a mobile <br />or a portable scoreboard. He stated there may be more issues that arise. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman inquired if the ball field would be On the southwest <br />comer. Mr. Madison stated that it would be located on the southwest comer. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman noted that there was a typo that states that it would be <br />in the southeast comer. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa stated that he was concerned about the dugouts being <br />misused if they are not secure. Mr. Madison stated if they were closed from the <br />front, people could go behind them. He stated that openings in the front of the <br />dugouts allow staffto see in them. He stated that the school is concerned about <br />inappropriate activities occurring on the school grounds and they do the best to <br />educate the students about those situations. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa inquired about how the school would address appropriate <br />use ofthe dugouts. Mr. Madison stated that they would be for baseball use only. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman inquired ifthere have been any problems with <br />vandalism with the football field. Mr. Madison stated that there hasn't been. <br /> <br />Tim O'Malley, 1851 Oramsie Road, thanked the school for meeting with the <br />neighbors and stated he is in favor of the project as it is being presented. <br /> <br />Jon Ward, Director of Operations for Mounds View School District, stated that <br />the field will be rented out for community use during the summer and there will <br />be the expectation that the renters will foIIow the same guidelines as the school. <br /> <br />Chair Larson closed the public hearing at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Stodola stated that it appears that many ofthe issues have been <br />addressed by the school. <br />
