<br />Meeting Minutes - April 2, 2008 Plauning Commission Meeting <br /> <br />A. PLANNING CASE #08-011- CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />AMENDMENT; MOUNDS VIEW HIGH SCHOOL- PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Ms. Beekman reported that the applicant submitted a Conditional Use Permit <br />Amendment to construct a baseball field and safety fence in the southwest comer <br />of the Mounds View High School property. She then provided background <br />information and said Staff recommends approval subject to the following five <br />conditions. <br /> <br />1. The applicant shall continue to abide by the conditions of all previous permits <br />and reviews. <br /> <br />2. The project shall be completed in accordance with the plans submitted as <br />amended by the conditions of approval. Any significant changes to these <br />plans, as determined by the City Planner, shaII require review and approval by <br />the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />3. Building Permit Plans shall be submitted to the Building Official a minimum <br />of two (2) weeks before the planned start of construction. <br /> <br />4. The project shall meet all accessibility code requirements. <br /> <br />5. The applicant shall obtain all necessary permits from the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District, MPCA, and other governmental entities and provide the <br />City with copies of such permits prior to the City issuing any building permits. <br /> <br />Chair Larson opened the floor to Commission questions. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thompson inquired about the phone calls from neighbors. Ms. <br />Beekman stated the calls were in regards to the traffic during construction and to <br />spectators parking on the residential streets and then walking across the yards to <br />the baseball fields. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman inquired if walking across the fields is currently a <br />problem to access the soccer fields. Ms. Beekman stated that one resident stated <br />that it isn't currently a problem. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa inquired ifthere is a path to the soccer fields. Ms. <br />Beekman stated that currently spectators park in the school parking lot and then <br />walk across the athletic field to the soccer fields. <br /> <br />Chair Larson described the location of a paved walkway on the property between <br />the stadium and the fence. <br />
