<br />Commissioner Holewa inquired about the location of where baseball is played <br />currently. Ms. Beekman stated that they currently playoff site. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holewa inquired if there would be a request for stands or bleachers <br />in the future. Ms. Beekman stated that if the school would like to put temporary <br />bleachers that are less than five levels, it wouldn't require a building permit. <br /> <br />Commissioner Modesette inquired about the plans for bleachers and the expected <br />amount of spectators. <br /> <br />Larry Wacker, Sanders, Wacker, Bergerly, Inc. consultant, stated that there aren't <br />any current plans for the bleachers, but it would be something for the future. <br /> <br />Julie Wikelius, Mounds View High School principal, stated that current <br />attendance tends to be about 50 to 100 fans at the high school baseball games. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman inquired about the number of soccer fields currently <br />on site. Mr. Wacker stated that there are three and the removable fence would <br />aIIow all of the soccer fields to be utilized. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman stated that the permanent fencing would remain and <br />inquired about the safety of it. Mr. Wacker stated the distance from the edge of <br />the soccer field is about 30 feet away from the permanent structure of the baseball <br />field. <br /> <br />Commissioner Modesette stated that there is a 6- foot fence that separates the <br />residents from the fields. She inquired ifthere is a path south of the baseball <br />fields. Mr. Wacker demonstrated the location of the existing fence and its gate. <br />He stated it is used by students for access to school. He stated that he understands <br />that there has been a request from residents to close or lock the gate during games. <br /> <br />Commissioner Modesette inquired about the type of easement in that location. <br />Mr. Wacker stated that he thinks it is a utility easement. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman inquired if the field would also be used for the girls' <br />softball team. Mr. Wacker stated that it would not be. <br /> <br />Commissioner Modesette inquired about the base ofthe demountable fence. Mr. <br />Wacker stated that it is placed on sleeves in the ground. He stated that when the <br />fence isn't in the ground, the sleeves would be capped. He stated the size of the <br />sleeve is similar to an irrigation cap and would be flush to the ground. <br /> <br />Commissioner Modesette inquired if soccer fields are typically irrigated <br />throughout the field. Mr. Wacker stated that they are typically irrigated because <br />of the wear on the grass. He stated that they are set up on a grid system across the <br />field. <br />
