Quarantine of biting animals. <br /> <br /> Whenever any dog or animal has bitten any person, the <br /> owner or custodian of such dog or animal having been so <br /> notified by the police department shall immediately cause <br /> the dog or animal to be quarantined at the city pound for a <br /> period of ten (10) days after such person has been bitten by <br /> I said dog or animal. During the quarantine period, said dog <br /> or animal shall be kept under observation to determine its <br /> condition, and if it is found to be sick or diseased the <br /> poundkeeper shall immediately report in writing to the <br /> police department the condition of the dog or animal. During <br /> the quarantine period, the dog or animal ahall not be <br /> removed from the designated quarantine facility except by <br /> special written permit from the Minnesota Livestock <br /> Sanitary Board and the police department. The owner of <br /> said dog or animal shall be responsible for the cost of such <br /> quarantine. (Ord. No. 198, § 13, 6-27-77) <br /> •EdiLor's note-Ord.
