<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> BUILDINGS § 6-47 <br /> <br /> Sec. 6-44. Mandatory repairs. <br /> Each inspector, or his deputy, may cause the repair or <br /> reconstruction of any installation, material, machinery, <br /> strueture, building, premises or part thereof which is <br /> dangerous or unsafe to persons or property, and the cost <br /> thereof may be recovered by the city from the owner. (Ord. <br /> No. 191, § 7(f), 8-11-75) <br /> Sec. 6-45. Stop orders. <br /> Whenever any building work ia being done contrary to the <br /> provisions of this chapter or the provisions of any other <br /> applicable ordinance of the city, the inspector, or his <br /> deputy, within whose juriadiction the work is being done, <br /> may order such work stopped by notice in writing served on <br /> any person engaged in the doing or causing such work to be <br /> done, and any such person shall forthwith stop such work <br /> until authorized by the inspector, or his deputy, to proceed <br /> with the work. (Ord. No. 191, § 7(g), 8-11-75) <br /> Sec. 8-46. Occupancy violations. <br /> Whenever any building, structure or premiaes are being <br /> used contrary to the provisiona of this chapter or the <br /> ' provisiona of any other applicable ordinance of the city, the <br /> , building inspector, or hia deputy, may order such use <br /> discontinued and the building, atructure or premisea, or <br /> i portion thereof, vacated by written notice served on any <br /> person causing such use to be continued. Such person ahall <br /> discontinue the use within ten (10) days after receipt of such <br /> ~ notice or make the structure, or portion thereof, comply with <br /> the requirementa of this chapter and any other applicable <br /> provision of this code; provided, however, that in the event <br /> of an unsafe building the provisiona of section 6-18 shall <br /> apply.
