Before any permit is issued under the provisions of this article the applicant therefor shall present his license to engage in such work issued by the state, if required by the state, or by the city. (Ord. No. 191, § 9(b), 8-11-75) Sec. 6-62. Insurance. Before an y permit shall be issued under the provisions of'V E.qtl ,FrI this article, for plumbing work, the applicant therefor shall vY~~ present evidence of liability insurancei'of at least twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) per person, one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) per accident and twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) property daxnage. ' Sec. 6-63. Exceptions. Permits shall not be required for construction, repair, remodeling, alteration, and maintenance work having a probable cost of less than six hundred dollars ($600.00); provided, however, that this provision shall in no event be applicable to electrical, gas and heating work and water and sewer connections; to proposed work which will alter the structural framework of the existing building or structure; and to work for which permits are specifically required by other portions of this chapter or other provisions of any other applicable ordinance of the city. The "probable cost" of the proposed work shall be based on the costs of the materials at retail outlets in the Twin Cities area at the time in question, plus the probable labor costs as determined in accordance with costa for hired labor in the garticular trade in the Twin Cities area at the time in question.
