State licenses. <br /> Before any permit is issued under the provisions of this <br /> article the applicant therefor shall present his license to <br /> engage in such work issued by the state, if required by the <br /> state, or by the city. (Ord. No. 191, § 9(b), 8-11-75) <br /> <br /> Sec. 6-62. Insurance. <br /> Before an <br /> y permit shall be issued under the provisions of'V E.qtl ,FrI <br /> this article, for plumbing work, the applicant therefor shall vY~~ <br /> present evidence of liability insurancei'of at least twenty-five <br /> thousand dollars ($25,000.00) per person, one hundred <br /> thousand dollars ($100,000.00) per accident and twenty-five <br /> thousand dollars ($25,000.00) property daxnage. ' <br /> Sec. 6-63. Exceptions. <br /> Permits shall not be required for construction, repair, <br /> remodeling, alteration, and maintenance work having a <br /> probable cost of less than six hundred dollars ($600.00); <br /> provided, however, that this provision shall in no event be <br /> applicable to electrical, gas and heating work and water and <br /> sewer connections; to proposed work which will alter the <br /> structural framework of the existing building or structure; <br /> and to work for which permits are specifically required by <br /> other portions of this chapter or other provisions of any <br /> other applicable ordinance of the city. The "probable cost" <br /> of the proposed work shall be based on the costs of the <br /> materials at retail outlets in the Twin Cities area at the time <br /> in question, plus the probable labor costs as determined in <br /> accordance with costa for hired labor in the garticular trade <br /> in the Twin Cities area at the time in question.
