On concrete work wheri the atructural <br /> design is based on a f c in eacesa of 2,000 pounds. <br /> (2) Masonry. On masonry work when required in Chapter <br /> 24 of the Uniform Building Code of 1973, as amended. <br /> (3) Welding. On all structural welding. <br /> (4) Reinforced gypsum concrete. On cast-in-place Class B <br /> , reinforced gypaum concrete when it ia being miged or <br /> deposited. <br /> (5) Special cases. On apecial conatruction or work <br /> involving unusual hazards or requiring conatant <br /> I inspection; provided, however, that the building <br /> inspector may waive the requirement for the employ- <br /> ment of a special inapector if he finda that the <br /> construction or work is such that no unusual hazard <br /> exiats. <br /> (b) The specisl inspector shall be a qualified person <br /> approved hy the building inspector. He ahall furniah <br /> ' continuous inspection on the construction and work <br /> requiring his employment. He ahall report to the building <br /> inspector in writing, noting all violations of this chapter, <br /> and the provisions of any other applicable ordinance of the <br /> city, and any other applicable laws and rules and <br /> regulations, and other information as required. <br /> (c) Special inspections required by this article ' and <br /> elsewhere in this chapter, shall not be required where the <br /> work is done on the premises of a fabricator approved by the <br /> building inspector to perform such work without special <br /> inspection. The certificate of approval shall be subject to <br /> revocation by the building inapector if it is found that any <br /> work done pursuant to the approval thereof is in violation of <br /> this chapter, the provisions of any other applicable <br /> ordinances of the city and any other applicable laws and <br /> rules and regulations.
