<br /> <br /> i <br /> <br /> EXCAVATIONS § 8-31 <br /> <br /> land area immediately surrounding; and which will <br /> minimize erosion due to rainfall; <br /> (4) Such graded or back-filled area shall be sodded or <br /> surfaced with soil of a quality at least equal to the <br /> topaoil of land areas immediately surrounding, and to <br /> a depth of at least three (3) inches; <br /> (5) Such topsoil as required above shall be planted with <br /> trees, shrubs, legumes or grasses upon the parts of <br /> such area where re-vegetation ia possible. Bond. <br /> The applicant for a permit required by this article shall <br /> furnish a bond in an amount to be set by the council and <br /> naming the city as obligee with a corporate surety duly <br /> licensed in the atate. The condition of such bond shall be <br /> that if the principal fails to obey any of the requirements or <br /> do any of the acta required by thia chapter, or for any <br /> reason ceases to operate or abandona the site or facility, and <br /> the city is required to egpend any moniea or egpend any <br /> labor or material to place the site in the condition required <br /> by the permit or this chapter, the obligor and the sureties on <br /> its bond ahall reimburse the city for any and all egpenses <br /> incurred therein. The term of the bond shall be coextensive <br /> with the term of the permit. (Ord. No. 150, § 5.5, 12-16-71) <br /> Sec. 5-31. Insurance. <br /> <br /> The permittee under this article ahall furnish certificates <br /> of inaurance issued by inaurera duly licensed within the <br /> state covering public liability insurance, including general <br /> liability, automobile liability loading and unloading, com- <br /> pleted operations liability, egplosion and collapse of <br /> underground operations, bodily injury liability in an <br /> amount of at least two hundred fifty thousand dollara <br /> I ($250,000.00) for injury or death of any one person in any <br /> one occurrence and bodily injury liability in an amount of <br /> at least seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000.00) <br /> for injuries or death arising out of any one occurrence. <br /> 471 <br />
