Prohibited generally. <br /> Except as herein specifically authorized, the discharging <br /> or use of deadly weapons within the city is hereby <br /> prohibited. (Ord. No. 96, § 2, 7-25-66) <br /> <br /> Sec. 17-38. Aiming prohibited. <br /> The aiming of any deadly weapon, whether loaded or not, <br /> at or towards any human being, is hereby prohibited. (Ord. <br /> No. 96, § 3, 7-25-66) <br /> Sec. 17-39. Furnishing to minors. <br /> The selling, giving, loaning, or furnishing in any way of <br /> any deadly weapon to a minor without the written consent <br /> of his parents or guardian is hereby prohibited. (Ord. No. <br /> 96, § 4, 7-25-66) <br /> <br /> Sec. 17-40. Use by minor. <br /> No minor under the age of fourteen (14) years shall handle <br /> or have in his posseasion or under his control, except while <br /> accompanied by or under the immediate charge of his <br /> parent or guardian, any deadly weapon. Carrying concealed. <br /> The possession by any persons other than a public officer <br /> of any deadly weapon concealed on his or her person is <br /> hereby prohibited. (Ord. Discharge restricted. <br /> The firing of a gun or use of other deadly weapon in the <br /> lawful defense of the person, property or family of the user <br /> of said weapon is excepted from the prohibitions set forth in <br /> this article and similarly, the firing of a gun or use of other <br /> deadly weapons in the necessary enforcement of the law, <br /> whether by a police officer or a private individual, is also <br /> excepted from the prohibitions contained herein.
